These things need not even be "essentials." They can be for purely emotional or sentimental value. I, too, would gravitate towards the dumb-job w/insurance option, if you can swing it, but that's obviously based on your own assessment of what you need.

((ee))kermitthefroghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15742856153167362749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8399701802496487396.post-47156154842483298752008-03-27T00:26:00.000-04:002008-03-27T00:26:00.000-04:00I'm sorry to hear about all of the chaos in your l...I'm sorry to hear about all of the chaos in your life.

Take care!!!!!!!k8https://www.blogger.com/profile/07547334819703279971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8399701802496487396.post-74923154086914862102008-03-26T09:30:00.000-04:002008-03-26T09:30:00.000-04:00Oh, EE, you're having a rough spring! I'm sorry to hear about the troubles in Camper Land and the financial difficulties and all the rest of it.

Thinking along the same lines as Sisyphus, my (risk-averse) inclination would be to get a job, any job (along receptionist lines) that will give you some $$ and health insurance and that you won't even have to put on your CV when you apply for jobs in the fall. I think that discernment is difficult when it feels like everything is falling apart, so maybe taking care of the immediate practical needs would give you enough sense of stability that next steps would be clearer. But then again, I tend to gravitate toward security, which certainly colors my advice.

Hang in there! What Now?https://www.blogger.com/profile/04017629066466055668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8399701802496487396.post-27791001642036041202008-03-25T17:11:00.000-04:002008-03-25T17:11:00.000-04:00Keep your chin up! Answer phones, do data entry, something soul-sucking like that? The pay would be ok and the hours not too onerous, and if you get a phone/receptionist thing you could try writing or reading on the down time (I know I did that one summer working for my brother's big company as their front desk person --- I read like two-thirds of the Norton anthology out of sheer boredom.) It also might help with the feeling at loose ends and having enough time to worry about everything. I mean, it would suck, but you could say, this month is going to be a month of pure suckiness but at least it will go by quickly. Eh?

And remember that you used to say that 30 minutes of workout time was equal to some sort of milligrams of antidepressants. I totally don't believe it (says the Queen of Sloth), but if it worked for you once... and you can do some things exercise-y for free.Sisyphushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09880634753539329199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8399701802496487396.post-30352305043812360432008-03-25T14:37:00.000-04:002008-03-25T14:37:00.000-04:00Oh, honey.
